2001 Readership Survey Results

Demographically, ISP-Planet's readers are primarily men between the ages of 25 to 44 years old, considered highly educated, and are considered affluent—earning $74,000 a year on average.

The results of ISP-Planet January 2001 Readership Survey are complete and we would like to share the data with you.

Based on viewer responses, 57 percent of ISP-Planet readers are corporate management types, of which 30 are considered corporate managers and 27 percent are IS/IT managers responsible for the primary direction of their respective Internet-related companies (below).

Additionally, 11 percent of our readers work in the Internet industry as marketing managers, determining the advertising and marketing strategies of the company for which they work (above).

As for the companies these decision-markets represent, 36 percent said their primary business is providing Internet services, while 14 percent reported that they work for telecom carriers, and 13 percent are employed by Webhosting firms (left).

For the most part, 73 percent of ISP-Planet's readers work for Internet service providers, Webhosting companies, or as consultants for Web agencies that provide guidance to the online community and industry alike.


Fifty-seven percent of ISP-Planets readers work for small Internet-related businesses with less than 50 employees, while 22 percent of our readers said they worked for medium sized firms with 50 to 999 employees, and 21 percent work for large companies with more than 1,000 employees (above).

Eight-eight percent of ISP-Planet's readers that participated in the January 2001 survey, said they are responsible for making purchasing decisions for their companies (right). Additionally, 86 percent of these respondents said that they purchase products and services over the Web.
