Managed IP and hosting services provider Savvis Communications has expanded and extended its networking services contract with Moneyline Telerate, a provider of real-time financial information and transaction services to the capital markets.

Savvis provides Moneyline Telerate with privately managed IP VPN extranet services over 6,000 Moneyline Telerate client connections in North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific.

Under the new agreement, Savvis will become Moneyline Telerate's exclusive network services provider and manage Moneyline Telerate's entire network through 2009. Savvis will also provide applications server management, including all field service, help desk support, and data warehousing support for their server infrastructure.

In addition, the companies will work together to develop new services targeted to the financial community.

The new contract maintains the financial terms of the original $200 million minimum five-year agreement signed in October of 2001 and creates new opportunities for revenue as the companies begin to jointly market services together.
