Data collected by MCG Capital Corporation, an investment company, presents a picture of declining M&A activity in the ISP arena. The company, which makes loans and investments in the measured media, communications, information services, technology, and electronic security industries, provided the following data to ISP-Planet.

The data (Above, right) shows the relative rate of ISP sales and mergers tracked by MCG between the fourth quarter of 1998 and the third quarter of the year 2000.
