Denying the Debtors

Software helps ISPs and other service providers identify customers who are bad credit risks by automating the process of profiling, segmentation, and modeling, and suggests actions that can be taken to reduce payment delays and increase collection amounts.

SLP InfoWare announced the availability of BadDebt/CPS, the company's latest behavior analysis and campaign design application that predicts customer behaviors related to bad debt. The company claims it is the world leader in "Predictive Customer Relationship Management (P-CRM)" software.

According to SLP InfoWare, BadDebt/CPS enables service providers to take pro-active action through targeted one-to-one collection campaigns that increase the likelihood that customers will pay their bills.

The company says that BadDebt/CPS predicts a customer's likelihood to reach the key steps in the collection process, and triggers proactive, one-to-one collection actions that can influence their behavior before they have reached the predicted status. This promises to lower the operational costs associated with managing bad debt, reduce payment delays, and increase collection amounts.

Serve the Rich
The JavaScript "Product Demo" that is available on every page of SLP InfoWare's site shows that the software uses racial and gender-based profiling to determine which customers will be most valuable to you. In the demo, we see that Anna Gonzales, an office assistant, is less valuable than entertainment exec John Williams.

SLP InfoWare's software conveniently displays the name, address, phone number, and all of the assets and liabilities of your customers. With this information, BadDebt/CPS uses automated data-mining algorithms and machine-learning techniques to generate its predictive models. Like SLP InfoWare's other P-CRM behavioral analysis applications, which include Churn/CPS, Retain/CPS, eCPS, and ISP/CPS; BadDebt/CPS is supposed to quickly and accurately perform behavior analysis and prediction by automating the process of profiling, segmentation, and modeling.

Models are Better
Also, by employing modeling rather than just rules-based profiling, the company says that BadDebt/CPS gives ISPs the ability to develop personalized collection campaigns based on individual behavior instead of group behavior.

"BadDebt/CPS will enable organizations to best use their customer data for optimizing the collections process," said SLP InfoWare CEO Jean Schmitt. "SLP InfoWare's bad debt solution can enrich the business rules an organization has already defined with predictive models, and actually personalize the bill collection on a per customer basis."

Pricing and Availability
BadDebt/CPS is available now. Prices are based on the number of seats and the number of subscribers.
