NICS Monitoring
Like other NICS products, the TaskSmart supports visual inspection of
on-going cache stats and stored client / server / filter log files.
The Monitoring page summarizes product specs (version,
RAM, disk, start time), instantaneous performance (CPU and disk utilization,
cache hit rate, bytes and requests per second), and cumulative counters
(number of connections and objects cached since reboot). The Services
(below, left) and Cluster (below, right) panels provide
additional detail about the TaskSmart's operational status.

panel
Cache and ICP panels display counters that can help
determine whether your cache and WCCP, ICP, CERN, or SOCKS relays
are working as intended. Our favorite NICS Monitor, the Performance
panel (below, left), plots requests vs. fills per minute, hourly
or daily. Need further detail? Drill down with Client Acceleration,
Server Acceleration, and Filtering logs. Maximum number, size, and
lifetime can be specified for each file category. Use the Logging
panel (below, right) to view, download, or delete stored files.
Log file formats are compatible with Harvest, Squid, and CERN Proxy
standards, but may exclude useful information. For example, physical
server IPs are not present in Server Acceleration logs, and client
IPs are not present in Filter logs.
