Free Trial Software for Cisco Routers

HarmonyCOM's Harmony Subscriber Management Software will give Cisco customers a free trial evaluation and promises to significantly reduce service delivery times.

HarmonyCOM Inc., a developer of software for the design, activation, and monitoring of broadband services, announced that Cisco Systems will distribute a free trial version of its Harmony Subscriber Management Software for Cisco 7200 and 7400 series routers to all new purchasers who buy the Cisco broadband aggregation option.

According to the company, its Harmony Subscriber Manager software can significantly reduce service delivery times by automating or eliminating many manual tasks associated with the managing, provisioning, and monitoring of services and subscriber data. The free trial software that's included with Cisco 7400 and 7200 series routers guarantees results by the end of the trial. Benefits may include an increase in the number of services provisioned per employee, and in the number of services provisioned error free—as compared to the service provider's current manual processes.

Harmony Subscriber Management Software is an off-the-shelf provisioning solution that's designed specifically for Cisco 7200 and 7400 series routers. HarmonyCOM says that its subscriber manager software offers an intuitive and easy interface and may be fully installed by the service provider's IT team in a matter of hours. As service providers' networks grow more diverse, Harmony Subscriber Manager users may be able to upgrade to the full Harmony software solution to automate their service design, activation, and monitoring process for services over multiple heterogeneous networks simultaneously. This may enable a significant reduction in service delivery times and provisioning costs, and an increase in service accuracy.

Under the terms of the current promotion, purchasers of new Cisco 7200 and 7400 series routers may license Harmony Subscriber Management Software for only $2.50 per subscriber at the end of their free software trial. Following this promotion, the price will be $4.00 per subscriber.

"The features of our subscriber management software for Cisco's 7200 and 7400 series routers were developed in partnership with Cisco and provides service providers a simple, single user-interface to configure equipment and design services," said Paul McAfee, Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Sales at HarmonyCOM. "We are pleased to have the opportunity to offer the Harmony Subscriber Management Software free trial to Cisco 7200 and 7400 series router customers who use these routers in broadband aggregation environments."

"For new purchasers of Cisco 7200 and 7400 series routers, there are no additional engineering or upfront cost," added McAfee. "The $2.50 per subscriber fee to use the software enables service providers to reduce their cost of subscriber management by hundreds of dollars for each new service provisioned on these routers."

Pricing
Under the promotion, existing Cisco 7200 series router users who wish to license Harmony Subscriber Management Software may do so at $25,000 for the initial 10,000 subscribers, and $2.50 per additional subscriber.
