NightFire Supports Siebel eCommunications

Resulting products may let service providers deploy a Web-based, self-service solution that enables customers to accurately pre-qualify, order, and check the status of broadband service orders

NightFire Software announced support for Siebel eCommunications 2000.3, a family of eBusiness software designed for the telecommunications industry. Siebel Systems is a market leader in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

Siebel eCommunications is supposed to let organizations manage, synchronize, and coordinate all customer touchpoints including the Web, call center, field organization and distribution channels.

Siebel eCommunications is designed to meet the needs of wireline, wireless, broadband, media, cable, and dialup Internet service providers that serve a broad range of end-customers, from consumers to businesses of all sizes. According to Siebel Systems, it offers unparalleled breadth of functionality, creating a closed loop among sales, marketing, and customer service professionals.

NightFire provides the Intelligent Interconnection Platform that may enable communications service providers to quickly and efficiently deliver voice, data and broadband access services to consumers and business customers. As a Siebel Software Partner, NightFire will work with Siebel Systems to integrate NightFire PreOrder, one of the applications in the NightFire Suite, with Siebel eCommunications to streamline the service fulfillment process. The combined solution may reduce order rejection and minimize processing costs to help carriers efficiently acquire new subscribers for broadband access and value-added services.

The joint solution may optimize the customer ordering experience by providing a high level of accuracy with enterprise-level scalability and response time.

"Siebel eCommunications sets a new industry standard for multichannel eBusiness applications," said Jerry Rudisin, president and CEO at NightFire. "Together, the NightFire Suite and Siebel eCommunications enable carriers to offer flow-through service fulfillment from the customer interface through the trading partner network. The result is an out-of-the box solution that improves order accuracy and minimizes operating costs."

Availability and pricing
The joint NightFire/Siebel solution will be available at the end of Q1, 2001.

Pricing will vary depending on the extent to which a customer uses the PreOrder solution (NightFire PreOrder includes address validation, CO identification, loop length calculation, and service availability).
