Hosting and Security Infrastructure Internet Appliance's INTERNETpro Enterprise Stack webhosting software is designed to deliver availability, scalability, and enhanced performance with easier management and deployment.
Internet Appliance, Inc., a provider of high-performance Web services infrastructure, announced the availability of its INTERNETpro Enterprise Stack. The company says that service providers that are designing customized proprietary hosting and security Web services infrastructures find the process to be a resource-intensive and complex endeavor that requires excessive capital investment and implementation cost. Internet Appliance claims that its INTERNETpro Enterprise Stack offers an integrated solution that is an easier, more reliable, "pay-as-you-grow" alternative that delivers management and provisioning capabilities that increase staff efficiency and optimize Web system performance. According to the company, the INTERNETpro provides high availability and scalability, and integrates the hardware, software, and unified management features that are needed to deploy Web services infrastructure solutions in a rack-mountable, highly integrated 1U appliance product line. It is comprised of individual data center appliances, which are combined into a Hosting and Security infrastructure. The first three components of the INTERNETpro Enterprise Stack are the Enterprise Director Stack (EDS), providing failover and load-balancing; the Enterprise Portal Stack (EPS), a scaleable Web server with automatic content replication and data synchronization; and the Enterprise Management Stack (EMS), providing centralized management and service provisioning. Together, they form the main components of the Hosting Infrastructure which gives service providers solutions to speed time to market, increase performance, and optimize highly skilled IT staff resource utilization. The Enterprise Stack also includes the optional Enterprise Security Stack (ESS), providing VPN and firewall. Integrated with the Enterprise Management Stack (EMS), together, these components become the Security Infrastructure, which should provide high availability and scalability features with no single point of failure. In addition, the Secure Access Server (SAS) is designed to provide a secure gateway for managed site-to-site VPN at multiple locations. "We are excited to offer an integrated solution, which solves the complicated, costly, and hard to manage, 'mix and match' alternative currently faced in the market", said Gregory Hauw, President and CEO for Internet Appliance. "With the new INTERNETpro Enterprise Stack, we are confident that e-Businesses who need to rapidly deploy hosting and security Web services infrastructures will be able to greatly reduce implementation costs and deployment times, while increasing ROI and time to market." "Whether Service Providers or Enterprises build their own e-Business Web services infrastructure or buy hosting services, the need for cost-effective, business-critical networking drives the need for ever-increasing performance, reliability, and security, and all while holding down costs," said Jeff Wilson, Executive Director at Infonetics Research. "Internet Appliance's new INTERNETpro Enterprise Stack Series provides an integrated solution designed specifically to meet the needs of the e-Business infrastructure market space."
