Connexn Technologies' Quick Capture The software is designed to help ISPs improve their revenue capture and automate manual processes, saving time and money.
Connexn Technologies announced the availability of its Quick Capture software package that's designed to help ISPs automate service activation and detect revenue leakage. According to the company, Quick Capture lets ISPs automatically process service orders by integrating order entry systems into downstream systems. Also, Quick Capture is designed to provide revenue assurance audits by automatically comparing provisioning data and billing systems data that are obtained from two data sources. To start, the software's detection capabilities try to identify billing discrepancies by automatically comparing multiple data sources to billing system data that contains specific customer service information. The resulting reports should help service providers identify problems that are eroding margins and help them develop recovery efforts that address the un-billed services. Connexn Technologies' order activation system is designed to automatically process basic customer service orders. It interfaces with order entry systems to extract the data that's necessary to update downstream systems, which include billing systems, network elements and databases. With Quick Capture, service orders should be automatically activated, which can eliminate manual processes and helps service providers reallocate their internal resources. All Connexn Technologies' revenue leakage detection and order activation applications reside on a base platform called The Connexn (TC). TC is designed to create automated interfaces to operational support systems (OSS), network elements, and databases. According to Connexn, these applications provide fast, flexible and reliable solutions that help improve margins through process automation. TC also has automated interfaces that are designed to link to almost any existing system and network element. The company says that TC generally requires no changes to existing systems and can fit into environments that mix legacy and new technologies . This approach may reduce the risk and effort involved in integrating the many systems that typically comprise a service provider's infrastructure. TC's modular structure should allow the system to be easily implemented and to quickly accommodate changes. Connexn says that TC may be configured to support a wide range of throughput volumes and numbers of applications. Also, the system's script-driven applications should allow for rapid modifications. Finally, TC employs a flexible support model, which should help service providers maintain and enhance the solution in-house. Alternatively, ISPs can rely on Connexn Technologies' to provide support and maintenance. "Our core competency is the ability to connect a variety of systems and network elements in order to automate order activation and billing," said Gary Ross, vice president of product management and marketing at Connexn Technologies. "Connexn Technologies' Quick Capture package is designed to keep service providers efficient in a time of intense competition and increasing demands for operational efficiencies," said Charles Crenshaw, CEO of Connexn Technologies. "Our experience working with Communication Service Providers (CSPs) and ISPs of all sizes has allowed us to understand marketplace needs and to design software solutions for specific service provider segment needs."
