congruency Launches VoIP Platform and IP Phone

February 2, 2001 -- congruency announced the commercial availability of its VoIP communications software platform, infrastructure services and touch-screen i.Picasso 6000 IP Phone. The company also announced that Monmouth Internet has selected congruency's VoIP offering to enable the delivery of new broadband telecommunication bundles to its customers starting in 2001.

According to congruency, its commercial VoIP offering includes:

- An advanced VoIP communications software platform - Provides an advanced softswitch with integrated applications and creation capabilities that deliver VoIP telecommunications from traditional and new data networking equipment

- Infrastructure services - Includes hosted telephony services like IP Centrex and IP Voice Mail as well as enhanced services like the delivery of directed visual content and HTML applications to IP telephones like the i.Picasso 6000.

- i.Picasso 6000 IP Phone - A standalone and complete IP telephone that features a 5.7-inch HTML enabled color touch-screen that simplifies call management, accommodates directed visual content and enhances the viewing of Web content

congruency says that broadband data providers and others can benefit from deploying the company's high quality, advanced VoIP platform and services because the offering is completely scalable and customizable. For large carriers that wish to operate and manage their own network, congruency offers its i.Picasso 6000 IP Phone and advanced VoIP platform that may be integrated. Small and mid-size communications carriers can deploy services from the VoIP congruency Communications Network via the touch-screen i.Picasso 6000 IP Phone.
