MegaPath Announces Nationwide Supplier Agreements With ILECsWayne
Kawamoto March 12, 2002 -- MegaPath Networks Inc., a provider of broadband access and network services for businesses and distributed enterprises, has announced supplier agreements with a nationwide network of ILECs and regional network operators that promise customers flexibility, reliability and efficiency for their connectivity needs. Starting immediately, MegaPath will expand its broadband connectivity services to businesses and telecommuters, served by more than 3,200 Central Offices (COs) through agreements with the following network operators: - BellSouth (NYSE: BLS) These suppliers should compliment MegaPath's existing partnerships with leading national CLECs Covad Communications (OTC Bulletin Board: COVD), Allegiance Telecom (Nasdaq: ALGX), New Edge Networks and IP Communications. MegaPath will offer a variety of broadband services through these supplier arrangements, including business and telecommuter DSL, managed VPN, full and fractional T1 services. This combined network of suppliers should give MegaPath a comprehensive, "ubiquitous" broadband network available to business customers from a single provider, with coverage of more than 95 percent of all metropolitan areas in the mainland United States and Hawaii. -End- |
