March 5, 2002 -- Williams Communications (NYSE: WCG), a provider of broadband services for bandwidth-centric customers, has introduced Williams Communications Direct Network Access (DNA), its new Web-based network management tool.

With DNA, customers should be able to securely and easily access real-time information directly from their desktops 24 hours a day via the Internet. DNA promises to offer customers access to automated technical assistance, billing management, customer service functions, trouble ticket management, and measurements for Internet protocol (IP) network usage, with plans in second quarter 2002 to add service level agreement and performance management. Future DNA capabilities will include online order entry and fault management.
