Yipes Supports InteliHealthWayne
Kawamoto February 26, 2002 -- Yipes Communications, Inc., a provider of scalable Ethernet services, announced that its gigabit optical networks now provide high-speed Internet service to InteliHealth Inc., one of the nation's first accredited online health information companies. The companies say that with no increase in cost over its previous T-1 lines, InteliHealth, an Aetna company, now has enough bandwidth to back up data from its Web site approximately 20 times faster than before--and can ramp up its bandwidth even further to meet special requirements. Based in Blue Bell, PA, InteliHealth provides credible health information from sources, such as Harvard Medical School and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Its Web site includes health news and content as well as access to trackers, tools and risk assessments. InteliHealth recently became one of the first health websites to receive accreditation by an independent non-profit agency for meeting quality standards for online health information. The company also has distribution and content-licensing agreements with over 400 major broadcast, print and interactive media outlets. -End- |
