February 5, 2002 -- DSL.net, Inc. (NASDAQ: DSLN), a nationwide, direct provider of high-speed Internet access solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, has acquired a portion of Broadslate Networks' customer base as an outgrowth of Broadslate's recent decision to cease its operations on March 15, 2002. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquired lines include digital subscriber line (DSL), T1, and virtual private network (VPN) customers, located in parts of Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. End users who are migrated to DSL.net's network will receive similar services from DSL.net as those offered by Broadslate.
