January 23, 2002 -- Global Crossing Ltd. (NYSE:GX) announced that it has been chosen by Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, the Washington Post Company's new media and electronic subsidiary, to provide Internet access for Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive's Web presence.

This port will handle the majority of Internet traffic for the Washington Post's Web site.
