Williams Expands Global OfferingsWayne
Kawamoto January 18, 2002 -- Williams Communications (NYSE: WCG), a broadband provider for bandwidth-centric customers, announced the launch of its international Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and frame relay services, as well as the expansion of its international private line services. As part of Williams Communications' global expansion strategy, ATM and frame relay services are available in more than 20 countries including Australia, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Spain and the United Kingdom, where a London office has been established as the company's European base. A Tokyo office was established by the company in 2001 to serve demand in Asia. In addition, to support growth in Europe and Asia, Williams Communications will offer service in its first international point of presence in second quarter 2002. -End- |
