January 10, 2002 -- Metromedia Fiber Network, Inc. (MFN) (Nasdaq: MFNX), a provider of digital communications infrastructure solutions, will provide metropolitan fiber to RealNetworks, Inc., supporting the company's real.com and realnetworks.com Web sites.

Under the multi-year agreement, MFN will lease fiber to RealNetworks. MFN's unshared, unmetered and virtually unlimited bandwidth should provide a scalable infrastructure for RealNetworks.
