October 1, 2001 -- Pac-West Telecomm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PACW), a provider of integrated communications services to Internet service providers (ISPs) and business customers in the western U.S., announced the departure of its Chief Financial Officer, Rick Bryson, who has decided to pursue other interests.

Wally Griffin, Pac-West's Chairman and CEO, will assume the additional role of CFO. He will be assisted in these duties by Ravi Brar, Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, and Dennis Meyer, Senior Financial Advisor. These changes are in conjunction with Pac-West's recently announced restructuring of its leadership team and cost structure in response to market conditions.

"We have undertaken a number of business initiatives to respond to market conditions and position the company for renewed growth," said Griffin. "We are building the next generation Pac-West with a new cost structure, an intense focus on increasing EBITDA in our core markets, and a strengthened voice and data-centric leadership team. Rick has been an integral member of our management team and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
