Asita Technologies this week introduces its Asita Partner Program, designed for Internet solution providers—ISPs and ASPs included—that want to share sales leads and marketing programs with the Irvine, California-based VPN device maker.

Bob Bova, Asita executive vice president, said the company considers partnerships one of the most important elements of its sales and distribution strategy.

"Partnerships are at the core to Asita's global development," Bova said. "We work closely with our partners in every region to ensure our secure VPN solutions are sold and implemented seamlessly at all our customer sites. Through partnerships, we can also share best practices to bring the most cost-effective solutions to the marketplace."

Lilien Systems, Service Essentials, and IntegrationWorks are the first three firms to sign up for the Asita Partner Program. As members, these companies pick up sales, marketing, and technical support, as well as partner training, promotions, and incentive programs from Asita. On the flip side of the relationship, Asita gets a chance to grow its business globally.

Cohorts costs
Asita arms its channel partners with extensive sales tools such as pre-qualified sales leads, access to inside sales support, technical pre and post sales support, an informative website, sales kits, presentations, unlimited collateral materials, competitive position matrices, and demo and evaluation equipment with aggressive product discounts. All an ISP or ASP need bring to the table is a VPN application. No other investments are required to join the Asita Partner Program.

Asita executives figure that its future success depends on selling and supplying solutions through partnerships. To accomplish this, Asita provides its Channel Partners with extensive market development funds and joint marketing communications efforts. For example, a partner who attends and passes the Asita training course becomes an authorized Asita Certified Engineer (ACE). If and when the partner needs assistance with network design, configuration, installation, and service of Asita's LineSpeed products, the company will work in tandem with its channel partners and the end-user to ensure the VPN solution is properly designed and implemented—optimizing both the network and business relationship at the same time.

The Asita LineSpeed product range features hardware based encryption that ensures true wire-speed performance and delivers the highest level of security for international standards—IPSec using 3DES-CBC mode. With up to eight customizable applications cartridges, it is scalable, flexible, and easy to configure and manage.

ISPs, ASPs, and webhosts can deliver secure, dedicated private networks at a fraction of the leased line cost, with Asita's LineSpeed gear. Asita Technologies provides high-speed VPN solutions that integrate a high-performance VPN, fire walling, networking, policy routing, load balancing, and a network management system into a single network device.
